Model Portfolio & Photoshop Techniques

I appear to be a little late with May's blog entry but then I have been very busy with my photography so I think I can forgive myself.

I've uploaded a small video on YouTube of one of my model portfolio fashion photoshoots taken at my home studio in Cambridge. Here is a link to My Channel on YouTube for some more mini movies of my work: http://www.youtube.com/user/janedoggett

Learning Photoshop can be a daunting task for many but once you're up and running the experiments can begin. Sometimes it's easier to experiment by trying ways to recreate other ideas that you've seen in magazines or on the internet.

Photoshop is a very powerful tool and it is used to enhance your photography and artistic ideas.

My advice to anyone who is starting out in photography is to get yourself onto a photoshop course to learn the basics and help dispell the mysteries of this fantastic photoediting tool. Once the first and hardest steps are out of the way you'll become more confident and work much faster developing skills to bring your photographs to life in new and exciting ways.

Having fun playing with Photoshop and you'll learn a lot on the way too.
